We started SWMA Inc. in 2023 as a way to join women of the Southwest and give them an outlet to connect, meet, and learn. We are a group of women who have combined, over 100 years experience in the motorcycling industry. We come from all types of backgrounds, including: Motocross, Off-road, Track racing, Trials, Coaching, Mentoring, Volunteering, etc. We all have a passion and love for the sport of motorcycling and wish to expand the sport in the southwest and give back where it is so sorely needed.
To support, fund, teach and help women who are injured in the sport or have illnesses such as cancer.
We are a registered nonprofit in the State of Texas with a 501(c)(3) status. All donations are tax deductible and go a long way to help female motorcyclists all over the Southwestern United States.
Lacie is a motorcycle coach, enduro, desert and cross country racer. She also rides adventure and sport bikes. Lacie adores teaching both women and kids how to ride. Her passion for the sport of motorcycling is what pushed her to start the SWMA. You can often catch her out at the races with either her camera in hand or working with kids and women on their riding skills! She has been riding for 30 years and brings a wealth of knowledge from all aspects of riding.
Kaitlynn owns her business, The Women’s Dirtbike Training Academy. Her mission statement is to help women find confidence and independence within the motorcycle industry. "My grandma and dad taught me how to ride when I was 5 years old. Over the years I have grown and blossomed into a leader to hand down the knowledge that was taught to me. I want to give back to the womens riding community to fan the flames for those who love riding dirtbikes, as I do. I would like to continue to dedicate time and energy towards my mission."
Kelsey is new to the dirt bike world with only five years of experience under her belt, but she dove into the sport wholeheartedly. You can find her riding the mountain singletrack in the summer or enjoying the Moab desert in the spring or fall. She has been a marketing professional for over 10 years and is excited to help spread the word of the great work that the Southwest Women's Motorcycle Alliance is doing!
Jen was introduced to dirt biking as an adult, and has passionately pursued the sport for the past 10 years. In 2023, she won the Ladies-A championship in her local enduro racing series (RMEC). She is a USMCA-certified dirt bike coach, and especially enjoys teaching fellow women one-on-one. She works for Rocky Mountain Sport Riders, a non-profit dirt bike organization, which manages the Dry Lake Motocross Park and local singletrack trail systems in Colorado. Jen organizes social group rides for women, hosts Girls Ride “Too”sday at the motocross park, volunteers as a board member for Rocky Mountain Enduro Circuit, and has worked as an adventure motorcycle guide. Jen believes that dirt bikes make everyone’s life better, and enjoys spreading the love of two wheels to anyone who will listen!
